		<description>
Relatively quiet week astrologically with the exception of Saturday January 11, 2008 Mercury retrograde; and Thursday, Jan 8 with a few challenging Saturn aspects, which might feel like that new pothole in the road which are so loved here in Minnesota in the winter.

Nothing feels quite like a sudden axel-wrenching, tire-eating, jagged little &amp;ldquo;dip&amp;rdquo; in the road, which heretofore has been pretty smooth; probably the equivalent of an extra 10,000 miles of wear on your vehicle.

		<title>Saturn Retrograde: Quintessential Divine Love and Protection During Crisis</title>

This year definitely does not end with a whimper. Outer planet stations are without a doubt the most powerful of astrological phenomena; slow planets which work very deeply upon our psyche, become absolutely still working their effects even deeper upon us, which many times requires something to occur on a physical level to get past our mental and emotional density.

Infinite care and compassion can be seen how this occurs, especially in light of how things always could be worse and if one looks hard enough a way out is always provided to every challenge and crisis. Being a limited mortal of course I don&amp;rsquo;t have complete proof of this law that I am stating, but I have personally witnessed the presence of &amp;ldquo;guardian angels&amp;rdquo; on more than one occasion, and you should to if you think about it.

		<description>
This week is Christmas, which is basically a Christianized form of a pagan celebration on the Winter Solstice, when the &amp;ldquo;Sun&amp;rdquo; begins its daily ascent higher and higher in the sky. It is like a new beginning, a new year; starting out as a child and maturing to fullness of adulthood at the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year....

While our minds have become numbed by the hectic pace of modern 21st century life, a deep long forgotten spiritual force is awakened nevertheless. We all share a primordial connection to the idea of the Incarnation of God: Christ, Krishna, Vishnu, Dionysus, or Osiris; and the names may be different but the story is the same: birth, death, resurrection, and eternal life....

		<title>Rahu: Door to Destiny</title>

A more indepth look at the Astrology of the Week of Dec 15-22, 2008

So it is mainly the Rahu&amp;rsquo;s task to direct us to earthly attachment as a
means to fulfilling destiny in matter. Call it fate,destiny, or the
dinive mission, it is Rahu's task to focus the full energy of the
spirit to the accomplishment of of a unique purpose. There is a strong
desire, urge, or impelling towards the arriving at this point of
manifestation. W. Clement Stone, early 20th century motivational
author termed a thing called a magnificient obsession ....

Desire though brings a lot of unpleasant things in its wake,
especially if that original desire becomes polluted by the mass
consciousness: a feeing of non-fulfillment, compulsiveness, unrequited
desire, and attachment to the fruits of one's actions. From attachment
comes pride and more foundation for the ego....
