 Chart Symbol of Jupiter The planet Jupiter represents spiritual and religious aspiration; zeal, optimism, and enthusiasm; grandiosity, largesse or “bigness”; good fortune; broad intellectual understanding; travel; the perspective of new and different cultures. Negatively: over-exuberance, arrogance; over-indulgence and excess (similar to Venus); the neglect of important details (and therefore subsequent failure and loss); errors in judgment; and over-confidence.
