Saturn Retrograde: Quintessential Divine Love and Protection During Crisis

Saturn Retrograde

This year definitely does not end with a whimper.  Outer planet stations are without a doubt the most powerful of astrological phenomena; slow planets which work very deeply upon our psyche, become absolutely still working their effects even deeper upon us, which many times requires something to occur on a physical level to get past our mental and emotional density.

Infinite care and compassion can be seen how this occurs, especially in light of how things always could be worse and if one looks hard enough a way out is always provided to every challenge and crisis.  Being a limited mortal of course I don’t have complete proof of this law that I am stating, but I have personally witnessed the presence of “guardian angels” on more than one occasion, and you should to if you think about it.

Christmas 2008: Recollection and Recognition

snowy_woods.jpgThis week is Christmas, which is basically a Christianized form of a pagan celebration on the Winter Solstice, when the “Sun” begins its daily ascent higher and higher in the sky.  It is like a new beginning, a new year; starting out as a child and maturing to fullness of adulthood at the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year....

While our minds have become numbed by the hectic pace of modern 21st century life, a deep long forgotten spiritual force is awakened nevertheless.  We all share a primordial connection to the idea of the Incarnation of God: Christ, Krishna, Vishnu, Dionysus, or Osiris; and the names may be different but the story is the same: birth, death, resurrection, and eternal life....

The Decisive Factor

Astrology for the Week of June 23-30, 2008

As probably the most astrologically stressed and developmentally pregnant week of June, this The Decisive Factorcould be a week to remember.  So as Jupiter comes up to a minor hard aspect to Saturn on Thursday, June 26; the fire and enthusiasm that Jupiter contains will experience the “cold water” effect of the latter.

....To me the “battles” of life are “won” by rising above and beyond them; if I neutralize all fear and anxiety in my psyche nothing can unhorse me and I can accomplish anything I set my mind to in perfect aplomb....

It is not won by willpower alone, but the decisive factor is being able to enter into a state of mind not unlike that which Buddha did under the bo tree just prior to his entering into nirvana.  He was unmoved in the face of all illusory images projected against him by Mara (the Devil), and then with a wave of his hand (actually touching the earth) he scattered Mara’s forces to the four corners of the universe....

Putting Out Fire with Gasoline

Mars Conjunct KetuPutting Out Fire with Gasoline

Mars is the planet of war and the sparks of clashing steel and the clamor of boundless fervor.  In more western circles the Nodes are associated with groups, relationships, and timely coming together of people and circumstances.  Since all the points involved and their dispositors are in a bad state, I would say that associations, connections, and grouping forming under this astrology might be more troubled than would normally be so.  There could be painful, unhappy, and turbulent episodes or developments.

It would seem that stock markets and a state of economic prosperity will be burdened making noticeable troughs in graphs.  The price of gasoline driving up other costs and the ravages of inflation rise the prices of everything.  The way government typically react to such problems is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline itself; infusions of money supply only stimulates more inflation of prices down the road and takes economies to the point of no return.

Uranus in Pisces: Go with the Flow

Uranus in Pisces: Going with the Flow

The news of the week astrologically is the transition of the slow moving outer planet Uranus from sidereal Aquarius to sidereal Pisces.  Whatever is touched by Uranus, it seems to add an element of unpredictability; a status-quo-shattering, paradigm-shifting, new-methodology-creating kick; which adds a sense of excitement and perhaps a mild undercurrent of anxiety.

Without a doubt the surges in communications technology and computer-interconnectivity has greatly accelerated the pace of life, and shrunk the world, as it were, to the palm of our hands.

Hold on, whatever thoughts and mindsets you held onto regarding yourself, what’s real, and what is the world all about; are about to go through a radical change.  I don’t think though that people are going to start running to the hills and singing songs about how wonderful everything is; some certainly will, but by and large it will be the very structure of society (Aquarius) that is going to have to flow apart and reform itself into a less “constricted” thing under Neptune.  How would that happen....?
