WARNING: this article could be "offensive" to readers of various political leanings.   

I may sound pretty biased or pessimistic to some readers here, but I really try to be objective and as close to the truth of matters as I am able to get.  The whole elections process is so contrived, so planned, and so scripted to my perception that it is a forgone conclusion that the election has already been decided.  That is, if you pick either McCain or Obama, it is the same corporate/financial interests that manage the whole process who have won....

Trying to see a direct correlation to these past few week's financial developments is not quite that easy to see since it is a system problem that has extended for decades already.  However on September 8 and 9 Jupiter and Pluto both went stationary direct, so this was about a week prior to the onset of the debacle.

Looking ahead there is a heady mix of elements to weigh: the coming administration, the continuing Iraq war, extending the war to Iran, and now friction with Russia itself.  Add to this the imperiled (an understatement) US economy and any other wildcards the universe can throw our way; it becomes truly mind boggling....

There is a lot going for Sarah Palin astrologically, but these are not necessarily "good" things. The chief feature about her chart is that all of the major points are strongly afflicted. 

Right off the bat this can be a sure indicator of someone who is either, a. limited and frustrated in life, b. working under the burden of misdirected concepts, impulses, and tendencies, or c. just plagued by weirdness  and "in-appropriate-isms"....

Such a person also could harbor a tremendous amount of angst and deal with an assortment of obsessions or compulsive behaviors that color their life.  I would be remiss to say however that such charts are also to be found with people who have the courage and will to "get their hands dirty" doing daunting tasks that must be done; they can be change-makers. 

Astrology for the Week of June 23-30, 2008 

As probably the most astrologically stressed and developmentally pregnant week of June, this could be a week to remember.  So as Jupiter comes up to a minor hard aspect to Saturn on Thursday, June 26; the fire and enthusiasm that Jupiter contains will experience the “cold water” effect of the latter. 

....To me the “battles” of life are “won” by rising above and beyond them; if I neutralize all fear and anxiety in my psyche nothing can unhorse me and I can accomplish anything I set my mind to in perfect aplomb.... 

It is not won by willpower alone, but the decisive factor is being able to enter into a state of mind not unlike that which Buddha did under the bo tree just prior to his entering into nirvana.  He was unmoved in the face of all illusory images projected against him by Mara (the Devil), and then with a wave of his hand (actually touching the earth) he scattered Mara’s forces to the four corners of the universe....
